GOOD GHOST PICTURES is an independent horror production company based in Louisville, Kentucky, founded by filmmakers Joe Stockton, Will D. Simpson, and Christopher Duke.

Good Ghost seeks to make character-driven horror films with a strong sense of atmosphere, voice, and a distinct point of view. We’re drawn to stories that feel intimate and unsettling, where the horror is rooted in the characters and the world around them.

Our first feature, WE’RE NOT SAFE HERE, was released by Saban Films in 2025. The film marked the beginning of Good Ghost Pictures and our goal of building a home for independent filmmakers and genre stories that might not fit neatly into the mainstream. Since, we’ve produced multi short films including Mara Let It In, In The Band, and Haunted By It.

We’re a small, filmmaker-driven company, and we believe in staying close to the work. From development through post-production, our focus is on making the strongest film possible with the resources available.

Our next feature MAUDE IS HAUNTED, written and directed by co-founder Joe Stockton, is currently in development.
